CHINA CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES

On Dec. 12, CCCWS Deputy Director-General Kong Genhong met with Bjorn Lyvall, Director-General for Political Affairs of Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Kong exchanged views with Mr. Lyvall regarding European debt crisis, situation in Asian-Pacific region, in Korean Peninsula and the prospect of European integration. Mr. Lyvall spoke hghly of China’s economic and social development, and expressed his hope that the exchanges and cooperation between Swedish research institutions and CCCWS could be promoted. Present at the meeting were Ambassador Lars Peter Freden and Victoria Li, Counselor and Head of Political Section in the Embassy of Sweden to China.
