Two CCCWS Fellows Conduct Academic Exchanges in Spain

CCCWS Fellows Dr.Wang Xun and Dr.Zhang Weijie took part in the academic exchanges in Spain at the invitation of the East Asian Studies & Research Center (EASRC) of Barcelona Autonomous University, from Dec.8-14. The two scholars had in-depth discussions with the EASRC scholars on the impacts of China’s reform on Europe especially in Spain. Both sides acknowledged that the new round of China’s reform would surely bring about huge development opportunity to the world. China and the European countries including Spain needed to expand mutual beneficial cooperation, in order to enhance China-Europe relationship to a new level. Apart from attending the academic activities, Dr.Wang and Dr.Zhang also interacted with the young students from Spain, Denmark, Romania, Russia and other countries on several occasions, briefing the basic information of China’s reform and opening up and elaborating China-Europe relations, China-Africa relations and China-Latin America relations, which improved the young student’ understanding of China.

 

In addition, the two scholars visited Barcelona Center for International Affairs and other research institutions there, exchanging views on international and regional issues of common interest, and discussing the possibility for future cooperation.
