On November 21, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun met with Boaz Ganor,Director of International Institute for Counter Terrorism (ICT)in Herzliya of Israel. The two sides exchanged views on the situation in Western Asia and Northern Africa, and trend of extremism. Ganor believed that the turbulence in Western Asia and Northern Africa gave the Islamic radical forces an advantage, some countries in the region could hardly exercise jurisdiction. Ganor criticized the Obama government ineffective in counter terrorism, and pointed out that the international community was faced with a dilemma in containing terrorist ideology and action capability. Yu Hongjun elaborated China’s position in counter terrorism, and indicated that CCCWS would strengthen regular visits and exchanges with (ICT). CCCWS Deputy Director-General Hu Hao, and CCCWS Research Fellow Yang Hongxi were at the meeting.
