CHINA CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES

On November 10, Mr. Mehdi Taje, a well-known geopolitician from Tunisia visited CCCWS and held discussions with Dr. Hu Hao, Deputy Director-General and Dr. Yang Hongxi, Research Fellow of CCCWS. Mr. Taje has studied and made research in France for a long time. He has been working for Institute of National Defense in Tunisia and European maghreb center for strategic studies. And now he is foreign policy adviser for Mr. Ahmed Néjib Chebbi, presidential candidate and Leader of Democratic Progressive Party in Tunisia.

Mr. Taje gave a detailed introduction of the constitutional elections just held in Tunisia. He also elaborated his view on the present complicated situation in Western Asia and Northern Africa.

CCCWS appointed Mr. Taje as a Special Research Fellow. Mr. Taje accepted the appointment happily, and invited CCCWS to send people to visit Tunisia at appropriate time.
