CCCWS President Yu Hongjun Led A Delegation Participating In The Third Global Progress Conference

Former government officials and political party leaders participated collectively in the third Global Progress Conference. 

  

On October 18, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun participated in the third Global Progress conference in Madrid. The conference was sponsored by the IDEAS Foundation of Spain and Center for American Progress of the US, and co-sponsored by Foundation for European Progressive Studies and Friedrich Ebert Foundation of Germany. Former government officials like Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe González, Former President of Brazil Lula da Silva, Former Austrian Chancellor Alfred Gusenbauer, and Former Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai, as well as political party leaders like Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, President of Party of European Socialists, Raymond Johansen, Secretary- General of Norwegian Labour Party, and Antonio José Seguro, General-Secretary of Socialist Party of Portugal, together with more than 200 experts and scholars were present at the conference.

 Former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown enthusiastically made a speech.

The conference originally aimed at conducting dialogue between the senior progressive leaders and the new-generation leaders, focusing on a new agenda for Shared Prosperity and the Future of Progressive Politics. However in fact, the conference mainly held discussions about debt crisis in Europe.

CCCWS President Yu Hongjun met with John Podesta, former White House Chief of Staff and President of the Center for American Progress.

 

  CCCWS President Yu Hongjun had a talk with Former Hungarian Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai.

 

CCCWS President Yu Hongjun had a talk with Raymond Johansen, Secretary- General of Norwegian Labour Party.

CCCWS President Yu Hongjun Made A Speech

At the conference, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun made a speech titled “Promoting A Green And Smart Development With Innovation”, and answered questions about trade surplus and prospects for China’s economic development.
