CHINA CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES

On the morning of 15^th May, CCCWS and Party Building Books Publishing House co-hosted a symposium on publishing SELECTED WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES. IDCPC Vice Minister and CCCWS President Yu Hongjun attended and addressed the symposium. CCCWS Deputy Director-General Hu Hao chaired the symposium. Mr. Wang Zhansheng, Director-General of the Party Building Books Publishing House briefed the relevant issues of publishing the SELECTED WORKS. The two sides summed up the experience of first cooperation for publishing the SELECTED WORKS, and explored the fields and methods to further expand cooperation. Present at the symposium were Dr. Kong Genhong, Deputy Director-General of the Research Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), Ms. You Ningge, Director-General of the IDCPC Information Compilation Office, Mr. Luan Jianzhang, Deputy Director-General of the IDCPC Research Office, Dr. Jin Xin, CCCWS Deputy Director-General, Mr. Wang Yingli, Chief Editor of the Party Building Books Publishing House, and some other people from the IDCPC Information Compilation Office and CCCWS. Journalists from People’s Daily Online, China Reading Weekly and Contemporary World magazine attended the symposium for reporting.

SELECTED WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES are composed of four books, including ANNUAL REPORT OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES (2011-2012), SELECTED WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES (2011-2012), AN OVERVIEW OF INTERNATIONAL EVENTS (2011), DOCUMENTS OF CONTEMPORARY WORLD POLITICAL PARTIES (2011). Mr. Wang Jiarui, IDCPC Minister and Honorary Chairman of the CCCWS Council is the Consultant of the SELECTED WORKS. Dr. Yu Hongjun, IDCPC Vice-Minister and CCCWS President is the Chief Editor. The publication of the SELECTED WORKS has been supported by the Party Building Books Publishing House. The content of the SELECTED WORKS cover the international situation, world party politics, political systems of some foreign countries, China’s external strategy, socialism theories, social political trend of thoughts, comparison of development modes. They reflect the major work results of CCCWS for the whole year, and have important reference value for experts, scholars and leading carders who do research and pay attention to the world situation and international issues.
