CCCWS Deputy Director-General Dr. Hu Hao Meets with Pakistani Scholars and Journalists

On May 6th, Dr. Hu Hao, Deputy Director-General of CCCWS, met with scholars from Pakistani think tanks and media.

 

The two sides exchanged in-depth views on issues of mutual interest, including situation in Afghanistan, situation in South Asia, counter-terrorism narrative, and China- Pakistan Economic Corridor, etc.

 

The Pakistani Delegation is headed by Mr. Fazal-ur-Rahman, Director of Strategic Studies Institute Islamabad SSII, who shed light on the probable developments in Afghanistan after the presidential elections. Mr. Muhammad Amir Rana, Director of Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), made a briefing on the counter-terrorism narrative initiatives in Pakistan and the Middle East. Also present at the meeting were: Mr. Rahimullah Yusufzai, Resident Editor of The News International in Peshawar; Mr. Rashed Rahman, Editor of Daily Times; Dr. Muhammad Khan, Head of International Relations Department, National Defense University (NDU); Mr. Khalid Hussain Chandio, Research Officer of Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI).

 

CCCWS staff present at the meeting were: Research Fellows Ms. Mou Hong, Ms. Xu Xu, Mr. Gao Lianjia; Associate Research Fellows Mr. Li Shipeng, Mr. Wang Dong, Dr. Wang Xun, Dr. Ling Yongliang, and Dr. Zhang Weijie.
