CCCWS President Yu Hongjun Met With Dr. Heather Smith, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australian Government in Canberra

On the morning of 27th March, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun and the delegation met with Dr. Heather Smith, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australian Government in Canberra. Present at the meeting were Ambassador Chen Yuming of China to Australia, and Mr. Peter Rowe, First Assistant Secretary of North Asia Division of DFAT.

On 27th March, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun met with Dr. Heather Smith, Deputy Secretary of DFAT of Australian Government in Canberra.

The two sides exchanged views on China-Australia relations and situation in Asia Pacific region. Dr. Smith spoke highly of achievements since China and Australia established diplomatic relations for 40 years, and briefed the delegation Australia’s policy framework towards Asia Pacific region. CCCWS Deputy Director-General Hu Hao, Research Fellow Yang Hongxi, and Associate Research Fellow Zhang Guifeng were at the meeting.
