CHINA CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES

On 19^th March, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun and the delegation met with Ambassador Sungnam LIM, Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Republic of Korea in Seoul.

The two sides exchanged views on current situation of Korean peninsula. Dr. Yu Hongjun said that he hoped the South and North Koreas could dissolve the hatred, eliminate confrontation, release goodwill, show sincerity, promote understanding and mutual trust through dialogue and cooperation, so as to create conditions to solve the problems. Present at the meeting were Mr. Cho Sei Young, Director-General of Northeast Asian Affairs Bureau of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Republic of Korea, CCCWS Deputy Director-General Hu Hao and Research Fellow Yang Hongxi.
