CCCWS Deputy Director-General Jin Xin Holds Discussions with Delegation of Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies
On the morning of Nov. 9th in Beijing, CCCWS Deputy Director-General Dr. Jin Xin met with the delegation from Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies. Both sides exchanged views on situation in Syria and Asia-Pacific region.

Dr. Jin Xin pointed out that China is very concerned about the situation in Syria, and hopes that the relevant parties in Syria could end the civil war as early as possible through political dialogue. China always insists the principle of non-interference into its internal affairs in the Syria issues, and hopes that the road for Syria could be decided by its people. As to situation in the Asia-Pacific region, Dr. Jin said that relevant parties in the Asia-Pacific region should take care of the interests of all parties concerned on the basis of mutual understanding and trust.

Mr. Suleyman Sensoy, Chairman of Turkish Asian Center for Strategic Studies, agreed with Dr. Jin Xin’s views on situation in Syria and Asia-Pacific region. He indicated that Turkey is in a turbulent region, and it does not hope that turmoil of the surrounding countries would affect Turkey’s stability. He hoped that Syria could end the civil war and get on a peaceful and stable track as early as possible. He further expressed that the US’ “returning to the Asia-Pacific” strategy has something to do with the overall consistent economic growth in the Asia-Pacific region against the backdrop of the financial crisis.
