CCCWS President Yu Hongjun meets with Mr. Modrow, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Left Party (Die Linke) of Germany.

Dr. Yu said, the drastic change of Eastern Europe and the collapse of Soviet Union is a significant event in the human history, as the world has not entirely came out of the turbulence it had caused. The latest financial crisis and the European sovereign debt crisis demonstrate the disadvantages of the capitalist system. Nowadays, all the countries are trying to strengthen the international financial supervision and reform the irrationalities of the international economic order. Since its reform and opening-up from the late 1970s, China has walked along a socialist road with Chinese characteristics, and it has been firmly continuing its exploration along this road. China-Germany think tank exchanges can play an important role in deepening mutual understanding and promoting the healthy development of the relationship of the two countries. As CCCWS and Rosa Luxemburg Foundation has built up a good relationship, Yu hopes that the two sides can deepen exchange and cooperation, and make concerted efforts for the healthy development of the China-Germany relations.
