African Think Tank Scholars Visit China

The Scholars Delegation from the African Think Tanks with members from Egypt, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Nigeria visited Beijing, Ningxia and Shanghai at the invitation of CCCWS from Nov.6th to 14th. All the members of the delegation participated in the “2013 Contemporary World Multi-lateral Dialogue” when they were in Beijing. Through field studies and seminars in Ningxia and Shanghai, they got a detailed understanding about the implementation of China’s policy of ethnic regional autonomy, learned the experiences of prevention and control of desertification and ecological relocation of the population, and had a better idea of the process and achievements of China’s reform and opening up. People from Africa and China are on the road of development, the delegation members say, so the two sides have broad prospects for cooperation, and their relations have a promising future.

The delegation has a group photo with the officials from Ningxia Ethnic Affairs Commission and Foreign Affairs Office.

The delegation visits Ningxia Ecological Relocation Village and Heshun New Village in Liangtian Town, Jinfeng District, Yinchuan City.

The delegation holds discussions on China’s Reform and Opening Up and Chinese Dream with the scholars from the Institute of International Studies, Fudan University.

The delegation sees the “Pudong Development and Opening-up Exhibition” in Pudong Development Zone, Shanghai.
