CHINA CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY WORLD STUDIES

On 4 June, CCCWS President Yu Hongjun participated in an international workshop titled “New Dynamics In US-China Relations” hosted by S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. More than 50 scholars from more than 10 countries such as the US, India, Singapore, Cambodia and Philippines attended the workshop. CCCWS President Yu made a keynote speech titled “To Build A New Type Of Great Power Relationship Between China And The US”, and exchanged views with Ambassador Barry Desker, Dean and Director of Institute of Defense and Strategic Studies of S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Nanyang Technological University, Mr. Norodom Sirivudh, former Vice Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, former Secretary-General of FUNCINPEC Party, Founder and Chairman of Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace, and Mr. Elbridge Colby, Principal Analyst and Division Lead of Global Strategic Affairs of the US Center of Navy Analysis (CNA), on issues such as the international and Asia-Pacific situation, and China-US relations.
