IPP Director Mr. Sayasat Nurbek said that people from all walks of life of Kazakhstan welcome and expect the Silk Road proposal, since the proposal not only can connect with Kazakhstan’s Silk Road proposal and promote domestic infrastructure construction, but also can effectively make up and improve the economic cooperation mechanism in Central Asia. The Silk Road proposal is a grand plan without relevant concrete projects now, so Kazakhstan people of all circles do not know much about it, and hope the Chinese side can publish its content as early as possible.
Dr. Hu Hao agreed with the views of the Kazakhstan scholars, and pointed out that the Silk Road proposal aims at promoting development of the countries along the route and allowing them to share China’s development dividend. However, considering the Silk Road proposal is a systematic and complicated plan, it requires a step-by-step procedure from proposing and planning to implementation. China will attach importance to the concerns over the Silk Road proposal from Kazakhstan side.
