Dr. Sun Haiyan is currently Director-General of China Center for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS). In 1997, she graduated from the School of Law of Peking University, and obtained a master’s degree in jurisprudence. After graduation in 1997, she began to work in the Research Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), successively taking the post of Division Director and Deputy Director-General. From 1996 to 1997, she went to study at the School of Law of Kyushu University in Japan, and obtained a master’s degree in jurisprudence. From 2005 to 2006, she went to Harvard University of the US as a visiting scholar for one year. In 2008, she obtained a doctor of law degree. From 2008 to 2009, she took a temporary post as Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zibo Zhangdian District Committee in Shandong Province. She has been working in CCCWS since 2013.

Dr. Hu Hao is currently Deputy Director-General of China Center for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS) and Secretary-General of the Council of CCCWS. In 1988, he graduated from the Department of History, University of Inner Mongolia. In 1994, he obtained his Ph. D degree after graduating from the Department of International Politics, Remin University. From 1994 up to 2007, Dr. Hu joined the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) and worked in the Bureau in charge of Eastern European and Central Asian affairs, initially as a Division Director and then as a Deputy Director-General. From 2007-2010, he worked in the Chinese Embassy in Moscow as Counselor of PRC to Russia. He has been working in CCCWS since 2011.
Mr. Xu Yongquan is currently Deputy Director-General of China Center for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS). In 1999, he graduated from the Graduate School of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, and obtained a master’s degree in economics. From 1999, he began to work in the Research Office of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), successively taking the post of Deputy Division Director and Division Director. From January 2011, he worked in CCCWS as Director of the Office. From 2012 to 2013, he took a temporary post as Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Liaocheng Chiping County and Deputy County Chief in Shandong. From 2013 he began to take the current post.
